Matra Health Mitigation Project "Community Preparedness for Earthquake Management by Implementing Disaster Preparedness Bags and Disaster Preparedness Training"

FIKES UPNVJ - On Sunday, April 21 2024 at 10.00-12.00 WIB a Disaster Mitigation Outreach activity took place with the topic "Community Preparedness for Earthquake Management by Implementing Disaster Preparedness Bags and Disaster Preparedness Training". This activity was carried out offline at Posyandu Merpati RT 10/RW 01, Limo Village, Limo District, Depok City, West Java. The number of participants who attended this disaster mitigation outreach activity was 30 participants consisting of fathers and mothers from RT 10 and RT 02. The aim of this disaster mitigation outreach activity was to provide direct experience to the community to increase knowledge and understanding, especially in the field of social health. related to earthquake disaster management, apart from that, this activity is also carried out as a form of application of community service.

The series of activities consists of 3 sessions, namely, presentation of material 1: "Disaster Preparedness Bag", presentation of material 2: "Self Evacuation in Earthquake Disasters", and the last one is "Simulation of Self Evacuation in Earthquake Disasters". The event began with the audience completing a pre-test using the link provided by the committee via the barcode that had been prepared. First, the event was opened by Syahidatul Zuhri'ah as MC for the Earthquake Disaster Mitigation activity, then reading the event rules and event rundown as well as playing the song Indonesia Raya and the song Mars Bela Negara. Then the activity continued with speeches, the first speech by Ns. Rycco Darmareja, S.Kep., M.Kep. as supervisor of Earthquake Disaster Mitigation activities. The second speech was by Mr. Karmin as chairman of RT 10.

After the speech, MC Syahidatul Zuhri'ah reintroduced himself as moderator of the Earthquake Disaster Mitigation event. then continued by introducing the first speakers, namely Dwi Alfianti Agustin and Nurul Putri Utami with material 1: "Disaster Preparedness Bag". The next session was to introduce the second presenters Bella Salsabila Putri and Mahessea Wira Madha with material 2: "Self Evacuation in Earthquake Disasters". After completing the presentation of the second material regarding the importance of earthquake warning systems and evacuation methods, it was continued with completing the post test guided by Syahidatul Zuhri'ah as MC and completing the post test by residents assisted by the entire committee to minimize missing out. Next was the third session, namely the handing over of certificates to the Head of RT 10 Limo Subdistrict by the disaster mitigation project supervisor, namely Ns. Rycco Darmareja, S.Kep., M.Kep. The certificate was handed over to RT 10 as the RW representative because the RW Head had to immediately leave the activity location for other purposes. After handing over the certificate, it was continued with photo documentation with the students and participants.

Next, at the closing of the event, the MC directed all participants to immediately prepare to carry out an earthquake evacuation simulation. The earthquake evacuation simulation was led by Bella Salsabila Putri and Mahessea Wira Madha. One participant was chosen to act as the chief coordinator who led the participants to immediately go to the gathering point when the sirens sounded and immediately contact the emergency response task force. After the earthquake evacuation simulation is complete, participants are allowed to leave the activity location or go to the committee to have their blood sugar checked for free.

The hope of the community after carrying out disaster mitigation activities is that local institutions can provide facilities in the form of evacuation places and early warning tools so that later all people in the RT 10 environment will better understand the risk of earthquakes and their prevention to minimize the negative impacts of earthquakes.
