Sejarah S1 Fisioterapi

The National Development University (UPN) "Veteran" Jakarta was founded in 1963, by Veterans of the Independence Fighters of the Republic of Indonesia, to make the nation's life smarter, to avoid all forms of colonialism. It was anticipated by the founders that the best way to change human behavior, attitudes and thinking abilities was only through education.

UPN "Veteran" Jakarta as an educational institution that has been recognized by the public, located on Jalan Fatmawati Hospital, Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, is a university managed by the Ministry of Defense and Security of the Republic of Indonesia. Subsequently, its status changed to a private university in 1995 under the auspices of the Jenderal Sudirman Foundation (YKPBS), which was then changed to the Soldiers' Housing Welfare Foundation (YKPP) in 2007. The status of UPN Veteran Jakarta changed to a state university in 2014, in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 120 of 2014 concerning the Establishment of UPN Veteran Jakarta.

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) as one of the faculties at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, was officially established on October 5 2007 based on the Decree of the Chair of the Education and Housing Welfare Foundation Number: SKep/020/P/YKPP/X /2007. Currently FIKES UPN Veteran Jakarta has eight study programs, namely Bachelor of Nursing, Nursing Profession, Bachelor of Public Health, Bachelor of Nutrition Science, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Master of Public Health, Diploma III in Nursing, and Diploma III in Physiotherapy.

The provision of education and teaching is always adjusted to the needs of the job market, so regular curriculum reviews are required. The curriculum review was carried out after receiving input from Alumni and Stakeholders in health services. In an effort to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the entire academic community works together to carry out various activities ranging from learning, research, and community service.

Based on Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 120 of 2014 dated 6 October 2014 concerning the Establishment of UPN Veteran Jakarta as a State University, under the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education as the institution that oversees UPN Veteran Jakarta, the government provides encouragement for freedom for UPN Veteran Jakarta in determining strategic policies to realize advanced and modern medical education.
