Implementation of Competency Test (UKOM) National Standard OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) Method for 2023 for UPNVJ Nurse Students

FIKES UPNVJ Nurse Professional Education Study Program The Professional Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta carries out the National Standard Competency Test (UKOM) OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) Method on Saturday-Sunday, 12-13 & 19-20 August 2023 at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Building Laboratory , Pondok Labu UPN "Veteran" Jakarta which was attended by 81 nursing students.

This OSCE activity was carried out for the first time by following the national standard OSCE provisions. Apart from internal examiners, the OSCE implementation was also tested by examiners from AIPNI (Association of Indonesian Nurse Education Institutions). OSCE implementation is carried out to assess clinical competence objectively and structured in the form of station rotation with an allotted time of 15 minutes. The implementation of the OSCE Nurses has 9 stations that must be passed by students to assess the 6 competencies that have been determined for each of the questions presented. The six competencies tested include communication, education and counselling, nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis and planning, nursing implementation, nursing evaluation, and professional behavior which are assessed based on the rubric that has been prepared.

This activity is the initial stage carried out by the UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Nurse Profession Education Study Program to fulfill professional nurse competencies and create an objective and nationally standardized test system.
