FIKES UPNVJ - DHF is caused by the dengue virus which is included in group B Arthropod Borne Virus (Arboviruses) which is known as the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae. The prevalence of dengue fever in Depok in 2024 is known to be 202 cases in January and 328 cases in February. Mutations in the ace-1 gene have been reported in Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in India and Indonesia which have point mutations at G119S and T506. The high incidence of dengue fever requires attention and increased appropriate prevention efforts from all parties. One of the efforts to prevent dengue fever that can be carried out is through mechanical control of the mosquito population using trapping (lavitrap). Lavitrap can be a potential alternative in controlling the vector that causes dengue fever at a cheap price, easy to make and safe for the community and the environment.
