FIKES UPNVJ - Data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government shows that around 70% of fires in the area are caused by electrical short circuits. This condition is exacerbated by dense settlements, where houses are built close together, often with electrical installations that do not meet safety standards. In addition, the use of electrical equipment without the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and old installations increase the risk of fire. Therefore, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, a health mitigation project activity was held at the Al Barokah Musolla RT 01 / RW 06, Grogol, Limo District, Depok City by students of the Nursing Profession Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta class of 2024. This activity was carried out offline with the theme "Handle Fires SAFELY: Simulation, Education, Anticipation Training, Mitigation, Action, Response!".
This activity was attended by Mrs. Atikah as a Cadre, Mr. Supriadi as Head of RT 01, Mr. Maruloh as Head of RW 06, as well as residents of RT 01/RW 06 and students of the 2024 class of Nursing Profession Study Program. The field project in this health course aims to provide insight and skills to the community that will indirectly influence attitudes and behavior, especially in reducing the risk and impact of disasters so that the community can anticipate and respond to emergency situations every disaster that occurs, especially house fires in the community. In this activity, counseling was provided to improve the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of the community through education and demonstrations of evacuation when a fire occurs in the community. This activity began at 10.30 WIB which was opened by Ayu Puspita Sari (2410721050) as the Master of Ceremony, after the opening and reading the prayer, the audience sang the song Indonesia Raya and the National Defense March. The next event was a speech from students and several invited guests. The welcoming speech was started by Winur Deswita Candra (2410721095) as the chief executive, followed by Mr. Supriadi as the Head of RT 01, then the welcoming speech was given by Mr. Maruloh as the Head of RW 06. Then entered the main event, namely the delivery of material by Earlyza Keirani Utomo (2410721042). During the question and answer session, the residents were enthusiastic in asking and answering the quizzes given, the speakers and committee also answered the questions well. After the delivery of the material was completed, it was continued by filling out the post-test questionnaire by the residents who were present, filling out the post-test was accompanied by a student facilitator. After filling out the questionnaire, the evacuation point was determined together with the residents, then a fire evacuation simulation was carried out by students and two selected residents. After a demonstration with the residents, it was continued with a closing, reading a prayer, and ended with a group photo.
This outreach activity has gone well and smoothly, the residents seemed enthusiastic in participating in the event starting from the outreach to the demonstration. Through this education and demonstration, it is hoped that residents can have adequate knowledge and skills in reducing the risk of fire and ensuring the safety of themselves and their families.
