Education and Health Promotion About Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever "Beware of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever"

FIKES UPNVJ – On Saturday, April 20 2024, community service activities took place at the Posyandu Hall RT 02/RW 06 Kel. Limo District. Depok Limo. Community service activities carried out by professional nursing students related to health education about Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. This activity was attended by Nursing Professional Students from Group 8 of the Class of 2023 Nursing Professional Program in fulfilling the Matra Health Course Project.

The activity held had the theme "Education and Health Promotion about Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever" and the title "Beware of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever". Counseling is provided regarding the disease or epidemic of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in general, the causes of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, Phases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, Prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, Management of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, and Procedures for Implementing Jumantik. General discussions with the public were carried out to understand the dengue hemorrhagic fever outbreak, not forgetting that demonstrations or demonstrations of jumantik procedures were also carried out to ensure that the public knew about each step. Students also distributed pre-test and post-test questionnaires to the public, to find out whether there was improvement in all aspects after receiving the information submitted by students.

This community service activity was attended and participated in by the general public, especially mothers. The event was held directly in the Posyandu Hall RT 02/RW 06 Kel. Limo District. Limo Depok and attended by group 8 friends. This field study visit activity started at 09.30 WIB opened by Ghea Andriani (2310721016) as Master of Ceremony who also conveyed the rundown of the event followed by remarks from Nabila Nasya (2310721014) as Chief Executive in community service activities this time. Next, remarks were delivered by the Head of Posyandu RT 02/RW 06, namely Mrs. Nila and the Matra Health Lecturer, namely Ns. Fiora Ladesvita, S.Kep, M.kep., Sp. Kep.MB for this activity for those who were unable to attend. Apart from that, Ms. Rycco Darmareja, M.Kep as well as the Matra Health Course Coordinating Lecturer was unable to attend this event.

Delivery of general material related to Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever was delivered by Reihana Zakiya (2310721054). Then the delivery of material related to the prevention, treatment of dengue hemorrhagic fever, and procedures for implementing Jumantik by Galuh Nurulita Fitriani (2310721010). After all the material is presented, and the demonstration is carried out. Followed by a question and answer session between the audience and presenters where the public was very active and enthusiastic in asking questions. After all the material and demonstrations have been delivered. The community service activity closed with a photo session and thanks to all parties.
