FIKES UPNVJ - On Tuesday, April 23 2024, a health education activity regarding Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) was carried out in the context of disaster mitigation at the home of one of the residents of RT 02/RW 04 Limo Village, Limo District, Depok City by Study Program students UPN Veteran Jakarta Nurse Profession. This health education is a series of disaster mitigation activities in the health dimension course. This activity was carried out after students collected data regarding problems that often occur in the RW 04 area, Limo Village.
The aim of this disaster mitigation activity is to increase knowledge and prepare the community to face changing conditions or so-called dimensions. Matra Health itself is a special form of health effort which is carried out to improve physical and mental abilities to adapt to an environment that is changing significantly, both on land, sea and air. Matra health is implemented to reduce the risk of health problems and maintain good health in the community when facing matra conditions.
DHF disaster mitigation is an important thing to do so that the public knows about preparations to prevent dengue fever and what things can be done during the dengue outbreak season so that recovery can occur more quickly. The result of this low level of knowledge is the basis for this community service. Increasing knowledge is carried out through outreach methods to the community
During the activity, the group held a pretest to measure the level of knowledge, attitudes and skills of the residents. Regarding preparations that residents can make to face disasters, the group provides education to residents regarding how to make an ovitrap, and what things can be done to reduce the spread of dengue fever, how to provide first aid and medicines and tools that residents can prepare at home to provide first aid. before being taken to health services. Efforts to strengthen the concept of disaster mitigation must be made by all parties so that all risks can be minimized or even eliminated.
The first event began with an opening by the MC and moderator, namely Tasya Putri Herisyhalina and continued with remarks from Mrs. RT and Mrs. Kader. After the welcome and prayer together, the main event for mitigation was held, namely the presentation of material regarding the dengue outbreak disaster by the speakers, namely Clarissa Carera and Anis Partiwi, guided by the moderator, while providing dengue leaflets so that residents could more easily understand the material provided.
