Project Based Learning: "KENANG (Recognize, Prevent, Manage) Hypertensive Crisis and Stroke as a Complication of Hypertension"

FIKES UPNVJ - Project Based Learning is the final assignment for the Community Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Emergency Nursing, and Adult Nursing courses on the Musculoskeletal System, Integument, Sensory Perception, and Nervousness which will be held simultaneously on Saturday, May 4 2024 at 08.00 – 10.30 WIB at RT 03 /RW 05 Limo District, Limo Village. This project carries the theme "KENANG (Recognize, Prevent, Manage) Hypertensive Crisis and Stroke as a Complication of Hypertension" which aims to enable the public to recognize the difference between hypertensive crisis and hypertension, complications of hypertension such as stroke, prevention and management. Apart from that, a direct demonstration was carried out regarding stroke management using the FAST method and hypertension exercises.

The enthusiasm of the community in participating in this activity is quite high. The number of participants who took part in the event was 18 people. This number is considered high enough to attend the event held on Saturday.

This activity begins with registration, checking blood pressure and completing a pre-test. Then, the MC opened, namely Asyila Ayuning Raudhatul Jannah and Mutia Maulida. Followed by singing the songs Indonesia Raya and Mars Bela Negara. The next event was speeches. Welcome remarks were given by the chief executive, supervisor, and the head of RT 03/RW 05, Limo District, Limo Village. The essence of this activity is the presentation of material regarding hypertension from 4 aspects of the course. Students tasked with providing material included Dinda Marsha Almira as the speaker on Critical Nursing, Esa Amalia Zahra as the speaker on Adult Nursing Musculoskeletal, Integument, Sensory Perception, Nervous, and Khonsa Sholihah as the speaker on Emergency Nursing which was followed by a demonstration of stroke management using the FAST method by Salma and Marsaulina Priscilla Evangeline. After that the activity continued with a question and answer session. There were 2 participants who asked questions. While waiting for an answer, hypertension exercises were carried out as an outcome of Community Nursing led by Kania Ramdhita and Syifa Fauziah Rahman. Next, answer.

The activity ended with a group photo session and a symbolic handover of certificates by Mr. Ns. Rycco Darmareja, S.Kep., M.Kep. as the supervising lecturer representative to Mr. Sain Ali as Head of RT 03/RW 05 Limo District, Limo Village. Next, complete the post-test at the end of the event to evaluate the audience's knowledge after presenting the material.

With this Project based Learning, it is hoped that UPN "Veteran" Jakarta students and the community of RT 03/RW 05 Limo District, Limo Village can build friendships and share the knowledge conveyed by the presenters, and it is hoped that this activity will be useful for the public regarding hypertension, its complications, prevention and management.
