Nursing Profession Students "Journal Reading in the Hemodialysis Room RSUD Tarakan Jakarta Elective Nursing Clinical Practice"

FIKES UPNVJ – On Friday, March 15 2024, a Journal Reading activity was held in the Hemodialysis room at Tarakan Regional Hospital, Jakarta. This activity was carried out to introduce nurses who work in the hemodialysis room about evidence-based nursing interventions or actions (Evidance Based Nursing) from the latest research that can be carried out on patients who experience complaints while undergoing the Hemodialysis process. The journal reading activity was carried out in order to fulfill the Elective Nursing clinical practice assignments for Nursing Professional Students Class of 2023 Class B.

  This Journal Reading activity was attended by Mrs. Ns. Fiora Ladesvita, M.Kep., Sp.Kep.MB as Lecturer in Elective Nursing Practice, Mrs. Merlyna H, S.Kep, Ners as Head of the Hemodialysis Room, Morning team nurse Kak Sri Sulis, S.Kep, Ners, Kak Galuh Adi Wibowo, AMK, Kak Jimmi Marthen, S.Kep, Ners, Kak Nelin Nurohmah, S.Kep, Ners, Kak Yuli Karlina, S.Kep, Ners, Kak Budi Utomo, S.Kep, Ners, Kak Hadi Purnomo, Amd. Kep who took part was present in person.

Journal Reading activities start at 10.00 WIB. The first journal reading was presented by group 2, namely Mira Putri Salsabila (2310721045) and Nida Mujahidah (2310721059) with the journal article title "Ankle Pumpling Exercise and Leg Elevation in 30O Has The Same Level of Effectiveness to Reducing Foot Edema in Chronic Renal Failure Patients In Mojokerto" and the second article "The Effect of the Combination of Ankle Pump Exercise and 30o Leg Elevation on Leg Edema in CKD Patients". Then the presentation was continued by group 1, namely Zhafirah Zhafarina (2310721005), Diya Alvionita (2310721006) and Yeni Widyani (2310721062) with the journal article title "Effect of Warm Water Foot Bath on Post Dialysis Fatigue in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis: A Quasi-Experimental Study ”. After the 2 groups finished presenting the results of the Journal Reading, it was continued with a question and discussion session between students, supervisors and Hemodialysis room nurses, finally closing with a group photo.

It is hoped that by holding this Journal Reading activity, nurses in the Hemodialysis room will be able to know and be able to implement evidence-based nursing interventions or actions (Evidance Based Nursing) to help overcome the complaints of patients with chronic kidney failure who are undergoing hemodialysis both during the pre-dialysis process, intra-dialysis. dialysis and post dialysis to improve patient comfort and quality of life.
