Matra Health Practice Project Turn Panic Into Tactics: Safety Response During Earthquakes and Fires

FIKES UPNVJ - Depok City is an area with geographical conditions that are quite prone to disasters, especially earthquakes and fires. RT 01 RW 03 Limo Village, Limo District, in addition to being in a densely populated area with buildings that are close together, also faces potential dangers due to the habit of people who still burn garbage openly in their residential environment. In addition, limited evacuation routes and low disaster education also increase vulnerability to the impacts of disasters. Seeing these conditions, direct intervention is needed through education and preparedness training for the local community.

Group 1 of Nursing Study Program Students, Nursing Profession Program, National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) under the guidance of Mrs. Desak Nyoman Sithi, S.Kp., MARS, Ph.D. carried out mitigation activities with the theme "Turning Panic into Tactics: Safety Response during Earthquakes and Fires". This activity was held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Multipurpose Field of RT 01 RW 03, Limo Village, Limo District, Depok City, involving 21 participants consisting of RT Heads, health cadres, Karang Taruna, and local residents.

The event began with participant registration and blood pressure measurement by Zahra Andieni Prameswari and Kusumawati Briandini Salfitri. The activity was officially opened by the MC, Diana Puspasari, followed by remarks from the Chairperson of the Committee, Vionita Apriliana, and remarks from the local RT Head, Mr. Solihin. The presentation of material on disaster mitigation was delivered by Rizki Pramita Meswari Putri and Vionita Apriliana using A3 poster media and A5 mini posters. After the counseling session, participants took part in a demonstration.
