FIKES UPNVJ - On Friday, April 25, 2025, a disaster mitigation project activity was carried out. This disaster mitigation activity was carried out in the RT 003/RW 015 area of Limo Village, Depok, West Java. This activity was carried out by students of the 2024/2025 Nursing Profession FIKES UPN "Veteran" Jakarta class in order to fulfill the duties of the Matra Health Nursing Profession Practice and to increase public awareness and preparedness for fire disasters, especially household fires which have now occurred several times in the area. This activity raised the theme of fire with the event title APIK (Action, Care, & Fire Initiative).
The activity was carried out at the Al-Barokah Mushola at 16.00 - 17.30 WIB. This activity was attended by the Head of RT 003/RW 015 as well as cadres and residents. The activity began with registration and an opening by the MC. After that, it was continued with remarks by Ns. Cut Sarida Pompey, S.Kep., MNS as the supervising lecturer. After that, it was continued with the symbolic handover of souvenirs to the Head of RT 003/RW 015, Limo Village.
Then the activity continued by providing information about fires and also a demonstration of how to make a simple APAR using materials that can be obtained in the household kitchen. In making this simple APAR, participants were divided into 4 groups accompanied by student facilitators. After completing the APAR, residents tried to use the simple APAR. In the demonstration, a small fire was given and participants were directed to extinguish the fire using the simple APAR that had been made. The residents of RT 003/RW 015, Limo Village, participated in this activity very well and enthusiastically, and actively participated in discussions with the instructors.
