FIKES UPNVJ - Jakarta, February 19, 2025 – In order to strengthen the commitment to developing a resilient health system, the Faculty of Health Sciences of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta held a public lecture with the theme "Health Resilience to Realize the Golden Indonesia in 2045". This public lecture presented dr. Mohammad Syahril, Sp. P., MPH, Chairman of the Indonesian Health Council, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, and President Director of Fatmawati Hospital, as the main speaker. In the session, dr. Syahril provided an in-depth presentation on the strategies and steps that need to be taken to face future health challenges in order to achieve the vision of the Golden Indonesia 2045.
Dr. Syahril emphasized that health resilience is not only about responding to disasters or health crises, but also about strengthening the health system as a whole, in order to face various challenges both at the global and domestic levels. According to him, Indonesia needs to ensure that the existing health infrastructure can support the need for health services that are evenly distributed throughout the country, both in urban areas and underdeveloped areas. "Strong health resilience will be the main foundation in realizing Indonesia Emas 2045, where healthy and productive people will be the key to the nation's progress," said Dr. Syahril.
Furthermore, Dr. Syahril emphasized the importance of strengthening human resources (HR) in the health sector, including doctors, nurses, medical personnel, and other supporting personnel. He said that Indonesia needs to improve the quality of health education and create a sustainable training system for medical personnel to be ready to face future challenges. "Well-trained health human resources will be able to provide high-quality services, which in turn will improve national health resilience," he added.
One of the important points highlighted in the public lecture was the importance of innovation in public health management, including the use of digital technology in the health system. Dr. Syahril explained that digital transformation in the health sector, such as telemedicine and the use of big data, will accelerate the distribution of health services. He hopes that with the integration of technology, the quality of services can be improved without having to rely on limited human resources in remote areas.
In addition, Dr. Syahril also emphasized the need for collaboration between the government, private sector, and the community in building sustainable health resilience. He said that health is not only the responsibility of the Ministry of Health, but also other sectors such as education, economy, and social. Through this cross-sector collaboration, Indonesia can create a more inclusive health ecosystem that is responsive to various global and local dynamics.
The public lecture, attended by students, lecturers, and a number of health professionals, ended with a dynamic question and answer session. Dr. Syahril provided various insights into the concrete efforts that have been made by the government and the challenges that still need to be faced in achieving optimal health resilience. In closing, he invited all parties to play an active role in supporting health policies and programs in order to realize a healthy and productive Indonesia, in order to achieve the great ideals of Golden Indonesia 2045.
