FIKES UPNVJ - Depok, December 7, 2024 - In an effort to increase public awareness about the importance of health, students from the Nutrition, Nursing, Public Health, and Physiotherapy Study Programs of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta have held a health education activity in order to fulfill one of the assignments for the Health Collaboration and Teamwork course. The health education activity carried out by Group 2B KKTK 2024 raised the main topic of anemia with the theme "The Power of Red: Understanding and Preventing Anemia to Create an Excellent Generation" with the aim of providing education about women's reproduction and preventing anemia through a healthy lifestyle and balanced nutritional intake. This education activity was carried out for adolescent girls aged 11-15 years and was held at the Al-Ikhwaniyah Cinta Yatim & Dhuafa Foundation, on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
The health education activity began with the registration of participants which was continued with blood sampling for hemoglobin (Hb) examination from each participant. After that, the event continued with a speech from the chief executive, a speech from the supervising lecturer, and a speech from the Head of the Al-Ikhwaniyah Cinta Yatim & Dhuafa Foundation. Then, the participants filled in the attendance and did the pre-test before entering the next series of events, namely the delivery of material by the speakers. After the material delivery session was completed, it was continued with the opening of a question and answer session which was then continued with an ice breaking session, gymnastics with movements to overcome menstrual pain, the filling of evaluations and post-tests, the presentation of certificates from the supervising lecturer to the Head of the Al-Ikhwaniyah Cinta Yatim & Dhuafa Foundation, and ended with a documentation session.
