FIKES UPNVJ - On Thursday, May 23 2024, the Gentar activity (Flood Disease Response Education Movement) was carried out in the context of educating the public regarding flood disaster mitigation which was located in the Hall of RT 012 RW 009 Cijantung, Kec. Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta City, Special Region of Jakarta by students of the UPN Veteran Jakarta Public Health Study Program.

The aim of the Flood Disease Response Education activity is to provide education to the public regarding flood mitigation. Considering that the area in RT 012 Cijantung is prone to frequent flooding, this activity aims to educate local residents about what diseases can occur after a flood, preventing these diseases, and what kind of mitigation can be done after a flood.

This event began with an opening by the MC, namely Muhammad Nidan Putra and continued with remarks by Pak RT, lecturer in the Disaster Management course, and by the chief organizer of this activity. After the speech and reading of prayers, participants were given a pre-test by the committee and continued with a session providing material using the lecture method, followed by a question and answer discussion regarding the topic/theme provided with printed media (leaflets) as the main media. After giving the material, the participants did an ice breaker, namely guessing the song to relieve the participants' boredom. After a series of material presentations and ice breaking, participants were given a post-test to measure understanding of the material provided, then ended with a documentation and closing session.
