FIKES UPNVJ - On Tuesday, April 23 2024 at 13.00 WIB, disaster mitigation activities took place with the theme "Prevention and Management of Endemic Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever and Application of Benson Relaxation Therapy" which was located at the residence of the Head of Cadre RT 03 RW 09 Limo Village, Limo District , Depok City by Students of the 2022 Nursing Professional Study Program consisting of 5 people, namely Yulia Prabhawaty, Muhammad Helmy Maulani, Luthfi Sari Wibowo, Siska Aulia, and Seni Nilam Sari. Disaster mitigation activities are activities that aim to increase knowledge, attitudes and skills by conducting community education as well as demonstrations related to the prevention and management of endemic dengue hemorrhagic fever and the application of the Benson relaxation technique to the community in RT 03 RW 09 Limo Village, Limo District, Depok City.
This disaster mitigation activity was attended and participated in by Ns. Duma Lumban Tobing, M. Kep., Sp. Kep. J as a lecturer supervising the mathematics course, women from posyandu cadres RT 03 RW 09, residents of RT 03 RW 09 Limo Subdistrict, and Nursing students from the UPN Veteran Jakarta Nurse Professional Program who cannot be mentioned one by one.
The event began with a blood pressure check before the activity started as well as completing a pre-test. This disaster mitigation activity started at 13.00 WIB and was opened by Yulia Prabhawaty and Seni Nilam Sari as Master of Ceremony and presenters. This disaster mitigation activity contains a presentation regarding the definition of dengue fever, signs of dengue fever symptoms, prevention of dengue fever, breeding places for dengue mosquitoes, initial actions for dengue fever, understanding stress, signs of stress symptoms, the impact of stress that is not handled properly, the relationship between dengue fever and stress, and how to reduce it. stress. After the presentation of the material, there was a demonstration regarding what to do when an earthquake occurs. After the presentation of the material and demonstration, the community completed the post-test. This mitigation activity was closed by reading a prayer and taking a group photo.
It is hoped that with this disaster mitigation activity, community knowledge, attitudes and skills regarding the prevention and management of endemic dengue hemorrhagic fever and the application of Benson relaxation therapy can increase and can be applied if one day a disaster occurs in the area.
