FIKES UPNVJ - On Monday, April 22 2024, outreach activities were carried out in the context of disaster mitigation located at RT/RW 04/08 Limo Village, Limo District, Depok City by students of the UPN Veteran Jakarta Nurse Professional Study Program. This health education is a series of disaster mitigation activities in the Matra Health course. This activity was carried out after students collected data regarding problems that often occur and the dangers of disasters that may occur in the RW 08 area, Limo Village.
The aim of this activity is to increase knowledge and prepare the community to face disaster conditions that are always changing or what are called mass conditions. Matra Health itself is a special form of health effort carried out to improve physical and mental abilities to adapt to an environment that is changing significantly, both on land, sea and air. Matra health is implemented to reduce the risk of health problems and maintain good health in the community when facing matra conditions.
This event was attended by the Head of RW 08, Head of RT 04, Head of Posyandu and Cadres of RW 08. Health education activities regarding Earthquake Disaster Preparedness started at 16.00 to 17.00. The event began with the opening and filling out of a pretest questionnaire to determine the participants' knowledge, attitudes and skills regarding the earthquake disaster. The event continued with the presentation of material by Renasti Pratiwi, S.Kep and Fadhia Syaharani A, S.Kep and continued with an explanation about disaster preparedness bags by Lola Shabila R, S.Kep and the implementation of a simulation of protecting yourself from an earthquake with objects around you by Winda Narilia E, S.Kep and Cherlyn Eva T, S.Kep.
After the material presentation and simulation were completed, the event then opened with a discussion and question and answer session. Participants who attended actively asked and discussed earthquakes and how to deal with residents' preparedness in dealing with them. Participants also shared experiences with each other regarding what they know about disaster management preparedness. After the discussion and question and answer session, participants were given a post-test questionnaire to find out whether the participants had understood the material that had been presented.
