FIKES UPNVJ - On Friday, August 16, 2024, Nursing Education Study Program Professional Program students held a National Nursing Webinar and Conference (2nd) with the theme PEEPKA: Implementation of Evidence Based Practice in Updating Nursing Care in Pediatric Emergencies. This activity is a project of the 2023-2024 Nursing professional student class. This webinar activity presents speakers who are lecturers and practitioners who are experts in their fields, namely Dr. Zubaidah, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Sp. Kep.An and Ns. Tita K Widya, S.Kep., RN., DCN., Cert IV TAE. This activity was also followed by the dissemination of case reports/case reports of final scientific papers for Nursing in the form of oral presentations by all UPNVJ Nursing students and several students from other universities in Indonesia, namely the Pekanbaru State Payung Health Institute, Jember University, Helvetia Health Institute, and other universities. In addition, oral presentation participants also sent their articles to be disseminated in the form of ISSN proceedings.
The series of events for the 2nd National Nursing Webinar and Conference were the Opening by Siska Aulia, S.Kep (Nursing Student) as the Master of Ceremony, then remarks by Endah Dwi Cahyani, S.Kep as the Chief Executive, This activity was opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, namely Agustiyawan, SST., M.Fis. Then remarks were also given by the Head of the UPNVJ Nursing Profession Study Program, namely Ns. Cut Sarida Pompey, S.Kep., M.N.S. She said that the webinar speakers were great experts in the field of Pediatric Emergency Nursing. The core activities were moderated by the Pediatric Nursing Lecturer at UPN Veteran Jakarta, namely Ns. Susiana Jansen, M.Kep., Sp.Kep.An.
The first speaker discussed about Pediatric Emergencies: Global Issues, Emergency Problems, Causes, Impacts, and Principles in Nursing Care” presented by Mrs. Dr. Zubaidah, M.Kep. Ns.Sp.Kep.An. Then the material presentation session by the Resource Person guided by Mrs. Ns. Susiana Jansen, M. Kep., Sp.Kep.An as Moderator.
Then followed by the second material presentation on "Pediatric Life Support" by Mrs. Ns. Tita K Widya, S.Kep., RN., DCN., Cert IV TAE.
Then continued with a question and answer session with the Resource Persons. This question and answer session went smoothly and the enthusiasm of the participants was apparent. Furthermore, the event continued with an oral presentation, namely the presentation of the final scientific work of Nurses which had been divided into a breakout room zoom according to the interests of the participants. The oral presentation ended with the filling of the evaluation link by the participants of the national nursing conference (2nd).
Participants who took part in this activity received a lot of updated information about pediatric emergencies. In addition, for oral presentation participants, this activity is a place to disseminate research results and as a national competition in terms of oral/presentation and writing case report articles.
Participants of the UPNVJ National Nursing Webinar and Conference (2nd) consisted of Undergraduate, Diploma, and Professional Nursing Students of UPN Veteran Jakarta, Students from the Pekanbaru State Payung Health Institute, Jember University, Helvetia Health Institute, Binawan University, Cendekia Abditama University, Banten Ministry of Health Polytechnic, Jenderal Soedirman University, In addition to students, many of them are also nurses from the Dr. Mintohardjo Navy Hospital, Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, and Prembun Hospital.
It is hoped that this activity can increase information and scientific updates, especially related to pediatric emergencies and also improve students' abilities and experiences in disseminating the results of practice, especially EBN-based case reports.
