FIKES UPNVJ - On Friday, September 8 2023, the OHSEF Goes to School work program was implemented at SMAN 6 Depok. This school is a state public school whose address is Jl. Limo Raya No. 30, Meruyung, Kec. Limo, Depok City, West Java. Similar to other state public schools, SMAN 6 Depok has 2 departments, namely science and social studies. The theme raised at this year's OHSEF Goes to School is "Biomonitoring as an Early Detection Tool". This activity aims to introduce and provide insight into the field of Occupational Safety and Health (K3), especially to students of SMA Negeri 6 Depok.
In its implementation, there were several series of events that were carried out, starting from filling in attendance and pretests by activity participants, opening by the MC, playing the songs Indonesia Raya and Mars Bela Negara, playing Safety Induction, remarks from the Chief Executive, remarks from the Chair of the 2023 Public Health Student Association/ 2024, speech by the Principal of SMAN 6 Depok, provision of material related to Biomonitoring in the school environment by OHSEF representatives, division of practical groups, field practice regarding the use of biomonitoring tools in the form of Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT), Lux Meter, Particle Counter, UV Meter accompanied by mentors from OHSEF UPNVJ. Then the activity continued with presenting the results of the group discussion, handing over a plaque from OHSEF to SMAN 6 Depok, posttest and closing by the MC and closed with joint documentation.
It is hoped that after implementing OHSEF Goes to School, participants will gain new knowledge and experience regarding Biomonitoring as an early detection tool, especially in the school environment, and that participants will be interested and knowledgeable regarding OHSEF UPNVJ. (APM)
