FIKES UPNVJ - On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, as many as 100 students of the nursing professional education program from the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta conducted a field trip to the Disaster Management Education and Training Center, National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). This field trip aims to increase students' knowledge and understanding of Indonesian disaster organizations, disaster management regulations and policies in Indonesia, learn about disaster management resources, and the role and flow of health students (especially nurses) in disaster management in the pre-disaster, emergency response, and post-disaster phases.
This activity took place at the BNPB Disaster Management PUSDIKLAT building. This activity was attended by Agus Bayu Pradana, STP, M.Sc and staff. In addition, the campus was attended by Ns. Cut Sarida Pompey, S.Kep., M.N.S as the head of the nursing department, Ns. Rycco Darmareja, S.Kep, M.Kep as the health coordinator lecturer for the dimension, Ns. Lina Berliana Togatorop, M.Kep, and Ns. Raphita Diorarta, S.Kep., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.J. and all students of the 2024-2025 nursing professional study program.
This activity began with a group photo, a speech by representatives of the Lecturers delivered by Ns. Cut Sarida Pompey, S.Kep., M.N.S and representatives of BNPB, then entered into a session of delivering material consisting of the definition of disaster, the prevalence of disasters in Indonesia, disaster management, phentahelix collaboration, principles, objectives, stages of disaster management, community rights in disaster management, and many more. After the series of material delivery was carried out, it was continued with a visit to the location of the logistics equipment building, the storage room for disaster transportation equipment, as well as a visit to the facilities available in the Pusdiklat building, ending with the closing ceremony.
