Collaborative Teaching Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia with UPNVJ in the Food Safety Course

FIKES UPNVJ - Collaborative teaching activities or international collaborative teaching between the Health Science Faculty of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia and the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program were carried out on Thursday, June 6 2024. Previously, the same collaborative teaching was also carried out on December 1 and 2024. December 15 2023 alternately between UiTM and UPNVJ Public Health Study Program specializing in Environmental Health. This activity is a follow-up to the cooperation agreement and establishes friendship between the two universities. This collaborative teaching is for the Food Safety UiTM course and the Food Sanitation Hygiene (UPNVJ) course which is carried out online via the Google Meet platform.

The material presented in this collaborative teaching was Food Contamination by Vector by Dr. Fajaria Nurcandra, SKM, M.Epid as guest lecturer from FIKES UPNVJ and Dr. Siti Norashikin Mohamad Shaifuddin as moderator. Participants are students of the Bachelor of Environmental Health and Safety program from UiTM. The duration of the lecture lasts for 120 minutes, consisting of presentation of material and discussions with students. During the discussion, students from the UiTM Environmental Health and Safety Bachelor program were very active and critical. Interesting sharing regarding the implementation of food safety in Malaysia and Indonesia for both food companies and MSMEs. Hopefully collaborative teaching activities like this can be carried out regularly to strengthen the relationship between UPNVJ and UiTM. Thank you UiTM and Dr. Siti Norashikin Mohamad Shaifuddin.
