Webinar Series II : Optimization of Household Waste Management as a Form of Environmental Quality Improvement

FIKES UPNVJ - On Thursday, June 23, 2022, a National Webinar activity, namely the Public Health Webinar Series II with the theme "Optimizing Household Waste Management as a Form of Environmental Quality Improvement", was held by the Public Health Study Program, Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Health UPN Jakarta veterans. This webinar program aims to increase the knowledge of participants in an effort to optimize household waste management as a form of support for improving environmental quality. Even though it was held via Zoom Meeting, the Series II Public Health Webinar ran smoothly and successfully, with approximately 670 participants attending the Zoom Meeting. The number of participants came from various provinces in Indonesia consisting of health practitioners, academics, students, and the general public.

This year, the series of Public Health Webinar Series II consists of 2 sessions of material presentation and question and answer, interspersed with Ice Breaking “Guess the Picture”. The material presentation and question and answer session was filled by four speakers and moderated by Fanny Azzahra Putri who is a student of the Public Health Study Program of the UPN Veterans Jakarta Undergraduate Program. The four great speakers who attended consisted of 2 Students of the Public Health Study Program of the UPN Veterans Jakarta Undergraduate Program, namely Sarah Aravia Ajda who brought the material "Knowing More about Household Waste" and Maulyda Shakeela Jasmine with the material "Early Awareness of the Impact of Household Waste."

Meanwhile, 2 other great speakers were Lecturers of Environmental Health at Airlangga University, namely Professor Soedjajadi Keman, MD., MS., Ph.D. who reviewed the "Effective and Sustainable Household Waste Management Method", which was then continued by the Lecturer of the Public Health Study Program of the UPN Veterans Jakarta Undergraduate Program, namely Arga Buntara, SKM., MPH., by discussing "Innovation of Community Roles in Waste Management Household".

It is hoped that the Public Health Webinar Series II will be able to increase the knowledge of all the people present to apply the knowledge that has been conveyed by the speakers, remind others to always manage their household waste before entering the Final Disposal Site, and always innovate in processing waste into goods. which has economic value, as well as assisting the Government in dealing with waste and community income.
