FIKES UPNVJ – ENVIHSA (Environmental Health Student Association) UPN “Veteran” Jakarta held an activity titled NIRWANA (Nature Information and Nurturing Action) with the theme “Healthy Earth, Joint Steps” on Sunday, April 20, 2025. This activity was carried out to commemorate Earth Day which falls on April 22, 2025 in the Car Free Day (CFD) Sudirman area, Jakarta. This activity took place from 07.30 to 08.39 WIB.
The series of events began with the gathering of ENVIHSA members at the CFD location, followed by a briefing session and joint prayer. After that, ENVIHSA members were divided into six groups to spread to various locations along the CFD area. The NIRWANA activity consists of two main parts, namely socialization to the community regarding the importance of protecting the earth and interviews regarding the community's understanding of Earth Day and simple steps that can be taken to protect the earth, such as reducing the use of single-use plastic, sorting waste, and maintaining the cleanliness of the surrounding environment. In addition, ENVIHSA also took real action by collecting trash along the CFD area as a form of contribution to environmental cleanliness. Furthermore, the activity was closed with a group photo session as documentation and a form of appreciation for the participation of all participants.
Through the implementation of NIRWANA, ENVIHSA aims for this activity to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving the earth and educate concrete steps that can be applied in everyday life. With a direct approach to the community, ENVIHSA hopes to instill a spirit of sustainable love for the environment and encourage small but impactful actions for a better earth. DJ
