FIKES UPNVJ - On Thursday, March 27, 2025, seven nursing professional students from the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta officially completed their Elective Nursing internship with a prehospital focus at the DKI Jakarta Health Crisis and Emergency Center (PK3D). This closing was a moment to reflect and appreciate the students' learning process for 4 weeks with clinical supervisors and field instructors.
The closing ceremony took place in Classroom B, 6th floor, PK3D building and was filled with several series of activities. The activity began with a presentation of the evaluation of the students' practical achievements, which included practical experience at various posts such as Advance Post, NETS (Neonatal Emergency Transport Service), Sea Ambulance (ship) show unit, practice at the Command Center Ambulance (CCA), case presentations and journal readings as well as education and training in crisis management. Students explained the increase in clinical competence and learning gained during the practice.
The event continued with the screening of a video documentation of student practice (after movie) that illustrated the dynamics of activities in the field, interactions with professional teams, and the family atmosphere formed during practice. This moment gave an emotional impression to both participants and supervisors who were present. No less important, student representatives conveyed their impressions and messages, expressing their gratitude for the guidance provided and the hope that this experience would be a valuable provision in future prehospital nursing practice.
In her remarks, Ns. Jajang Rahmat S., M.Kep., Sp.Kep. Kom expressed her appreciation for the students' enthusiasm for learning. She also emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and continuing to develop oneself in the field of emergency and prehospital nursing. In line with this, Ns. Cut Sarida Pompey, M.N.S, as the Head of the UPNVJ Nursing Study Program, expressed her hope that collaboration between educational institutions and health services like this would continue. She emphasized that authentic field experience is an important component in the formation of professional nursing competencies. This activity is not only the closing of the practice, but also the first step for students to be more prepared to face challenges in the world of work as responsive, skilled and professional nurses in prehospital services.
