HIMFIS: Talk About Physiotherapy Issues “Socialization of Ukom with the Osce Method to Prepare Competent Physiotherapists”

FIKES UPNVJ – A series of Talk about Physiotherapy Issues events was held by the Physiotherapy Student Association of the Diploma Three Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN “Veteran” Jakarta on Saturday, May 25, 2024, which was held offline at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the MERCe Building with the theme “Socialization of UKOM with the OSCE Method to Prepare Competent Physiotherapists”.

The 2024 Talk about Physiotherapy Issues activity is one of the work programs held by the Department of Strategic Studies and Advocacy (KASTRAD) which aims to increase insight and knowledge related to UKOM with the OSCE method among students. The activity was carried out in the form of a socialization seminar and question and answer session regarding UKOM with the OSCE Method.

On Saturday, May 25, 2024, the activity took place offline at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the MERCe Building. The event started from 08.00 to 13.00 WIB. This activity was attended by approximately 100 offline participants from Internal Students of UPN Vetetan “Jakarta” and External Students of UPN Veteran “Jakarta”. This activity was hosted by Muhammad Farhan Abigian Widyatna and Alfonso Oclind Gabe Damanik as the MCs who are Active Physiotherapy Students of the Diploma Three Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, class of 2022 and class of 2023. Then this activity began with an opening by the MC, singing the song Indonesia Raya and the National Defense March, remarks by the Chairperson of the Talk about Physiotherapy Issues Committee, Chairperson of the Physiotherapy Student Association of the Diploma Three Program, then remarks by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of the Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, Mr. Agustiyawan, SST.FT, M.Fis, Ftr, AIFO who attended the event that day, continued with a group photo by all participants and the committee, reading of the moderator's CV by the MC, Reading of the CV of speaker I by the moderator, Presentation of the first material presented by Mr. Agustiyawan, SST.FT, M.Fis, Ftr, AIFO as a Lecturer at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta and Vice Dean Dean of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of the Faculty of Health Sciences, session I Q&A, Reading of CV of speaker II by the moderator, Presentation of the second material presented by Mr. Eko Wibowo, S.Ft., M.Fis., Ftr as Member of the Service Standardization Division, Central Board of the Indonesian Physiotherapy Association, Q&A session II, games session (ice breaking), Announcement and distribution of door prizes to game winners, Filling in attendance and satisfaction surveys, Closing by the MC and documentation of the Talk about Physiotherapy Issues committee.

The benefits of the Talk About Physiotherapy Issues (TOPI) Activity are for Participants to have a deeper understanding of the concept and implementation of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) method in the context of physiotherapy competency exams and to be able to identify and design effective preparation strategies to face competency exams with the OSCE method, including the development of relevant educational curricula and appropriate clinical training. The end of the 2024 Talk About Physiotherapy Issues (TOPI) activity will be published on the social media of the Physiotherapy Student Association of the Diploma Three Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta.
