FIKES UPNVJ - On Thursday 1 February 2024, a Workshop on Filing and Translating Patents in the Health Sector was held by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia with resource person Dra. Ita Yukimartati, MSi.
The event opened with singing the song Indonesia Raya and continued with MARS Defend the Country which was attended solemnly by all participants. Then continued the opening by Desmawati, SKp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat., Ph.D as Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
After that, a photo taking session was held with all the participants. and then continued with the presentation of material by the resource person, Dra. Ita Yukimartati, MSi.
The presentation material provided is regarding Basic Principles and Patent Protection, Procedures for preparing Patent Application Specifications, Parts of Patent Application Specifications, and also examples of claims.
The participants were very enthusiastic and also gained extraordinary knowledge from the presentation of the material that had been given which was then followed by a question session for participants and resource persons.
The event continued with lecturers writing their respective patent drafts and coaching for lecturers who had finished writing patent drafts. Lecturers consult with resource persons intensely, and resource persons even guide lecturers who have previously applied for patents who encounter problems when revising or other obstacles, until the event ends.
