BEM Mengajar Day 2

FIKES UPNVJ - On Saturday, May 11 2024, the 2nd day of Teaching Service Activities was held with the theme "Building/Growing Smart Young Generation in Implementing PHBS". This activity was carried out by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UPN "Veteran" Jakarta together with volunteers. This Teaching Service activity was carried out for 2 days at SDN 02 Limo with the target participants being 95 grade 5 elementary school students. This activity is a concrete manifestation of BEM FIKES' commitment to serving the community and educating the nation's generation. This event was opened at 08.20 by volunteers and the committee and started with singing the songs Indonesia Raya and Mars Bela Negara.

Before starting learning, at 08.30 students take a pre-test to measure the extent of their knowledge of the material that will be presented. This is done to determine the effectiveness of the learning that will be provided by the volunteers. Next, the volunteers gave an explanation to the students about PHBS. The enthusiasm of the students at SDN 02 Limo was clearly visible during the learning process. They show curiosity and actively discuss things.

After receiving the presentation, students are given time to rest while enjoying snacks and ice breaking. After taking a break and ice breaking, the event continued with completing a post-test as a tool to measure and evaluate students' knowledge after participating in the lesson.

A special moment was present when the committee, volunteers and students captured their moments of togetherness in a group photo session. Excitement and joy radiated, indicating the students' enthusiasm for the Teaching Service Activities. After holding a photo session, the 2024 Teaching Service Activity was officially closed by the Chief Executive, Nirna Dwi Anggraini. In her closing, Nirna expressed her thanks to the students, school, volunteers and committee who had helped make this event a success. She also hoped that this activity could provide benefits for students and could be implemented in everyday life.

This Teaching Service activity is one of the BEM FIKES UPNVJ Work Programs in disseminating knowledge and building public awareness of the importance of health. By involving the younger generation, it is hoped that this Bakti Mengajar activity can have a positive impact and continue in the future. (HCD)
