FIKES UPNVJ - Public Health Study Program Undergraduate Program FIKES UPN "Veteran" Jakarta has conducted an audience activity with the Association of Indonesian Public Health Higher Education Institutions (AIPTKMI) on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Faculty of Public Health, University of Indonesia (FKM UI), Depok. This audience is a follow-up to the results of international accreditation which recommends the need for improvements and adjustments to the curriculum to be more in line with global standards, scientific developments, and the needs of the world of work. One important recommendation is regarding updating the substance of the course and condensing the number of credits to increase the efficiency and relevance of learning.
This meeting was attended by representatives of the leadership, namely the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Vice Dean for Cooperation and Student Affairs, Coordinator of the Public Health Study Program Undergraduate Program and the International Accreditation Team, as well as the head of AIPTKMI West Java, Banten, namely Prof. Dr. dr. Sabarinah, M.Sc. and representatives from LAMPTKes, namely Prof. Dr. Besral, S.K.M., M.Sc.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. dr. Sabarinah, M.Sc. expressed her support for this evaluative step and emphasized the importance of aligning the latest national curriculum with international standards, without leaving the context of the health needs of the Indonesian people. The discussion was constructive and produced a number of important points as input to follow up on recommendations from ASIIN International accreditation and the curriculum revision process in the future. This audience is expected to be the beginning of a more integrative, efficient, and adaptive curriculum renewal process to global dynamics. Furthermore, the curriculum team will prepare a revised draft that refers to the results of the discussion and input from AIPTKMI, to then be consulted further in a wider academic forum. This activity reflects the commitment of the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program in maintaining and improving the quality of higher education in public health in Indonesia.
