BEM FIKES : SELF UPGRADING CLASS (SUCA) 2024 "Star your future and soar higher with SUCA"

FIKES UPNVJ - The Self Upgrading Class (SUCA) 2024 activity was held by the Department of Scientific Education, BEM FIKES UPN "Veteran" Jakarta online through the zoom meeting platform on September 28, 2024 to October 27, 2024 with the theme "Star your future and soar higher with SUCA". The purpose of this activity is so that students can channel and develop their abilities in the academic field and increase their creativity and innovation so that they have superior competence. This activity consists of several series, namely the opening and the first week of mentoring meetings held on September 28, 2024. The opening and first meeting of SUCA 2024 took place from 08.00 to 10.25 WIB and was hosted by Wahid Hidayat from an active S1 Nursing student at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta as the MC. The event was opened by the MC and followed by singing the song Indonesia Raya and the National Defense March. Next, remarks from the Chief Executive, Chairunnisa Wahid Wulandari, Chair of BEM FIKES UPN “Veteran” Jakarta, Charissa Sindy Vergianty, and the final remarks from the Vice Dean of FIKES UPN “Veteran” Jakarta for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Agustiyawan, SST, FT, M.Fis, AIFO. The next event was filled with a group photo session which officially marked the opening of the Self Upgrading Class 2024 activity. Furthermore, the event was followed by the core activity, namely a brief introduction from the tutors in each class and continued with the presentation and provision of material from the tutors. After the provision of material, a question and answer session was also opened. The event then ended with a closing by the MC.

In the essay mentoring branch, the second meeting was held on October 6, 2024 with a discussion of the preparation of the essay framework according to the predetermined theme. The third meeting was held on October 17, 2024 with a discussion of revisions from the tutors, then participants began to develop and finalize their work. The fourth and fifth meetings were held simultaneously on October 27, 2024 with the presentation of the results of the essay work by participants assessed by the mentor as well as the closing of the essay branch class.

In the poster mentoring branch, the second meeting was held on October 18, 2024 with a discussion of the preparation of the poster framework according to the predetermined theme. The third meeting was held on October 23, 2024 with a discussion of the revision from the tutor then the participants began to develop and finalize the work. The fourth and fifth meetings were held simultaneously on October 26, 2024 with the presentation of the results of the poster work by participants assessed by the mentor as well as the closing of the poster branch class.

In the speech mentoring branch, the second meeting was held on October 6, 2024 with a discussion of the preparation of the speech framework according to the predetermined theme. The third meeting was held on October 18, 2024 with a discussion of the revision from the tutor then the participants began to develop and finalize the work. The fourth and fifth meetings were held simultaneously on October 27, 2024 with the presentation of the results of the speech work by participants assessed by the mentor as well as the closing of the speech branch class.

In the debate mentoring branch, the second meeting was held on October 6, 2023 with a discussion of the preparation of the debate framework according to the predetermined theme. The third meeting was held on October 13, 2024 with a discussion of revisions from the tutor, then participants began to develop and finalize their work. The fourth and fifth meetings were held simultaneously on October 27, 2024 with a presentation of the results of the debate work by participants which was assessed by the mentor as well as the closing of the debate branch class.

The entire series of SUCA 2024 event activities ran smoothly according to plan. The total number of SUCA 2024 participants was recorded as 31 participants from all study programs at FIKES UPNVJ. It is hoped that this event can be useful for the participants who take part. (CWW/RDM)
