FIKES UPNVJ - UPN "Veteran" Jakarta Undergraduate Public Health Study Program (PSKMPS) held a meeting with the Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM) Environmental Health and Safety Undergraduate Program on Wednesday, October 2 2024, at 8.30 WIB (9.30 Malaysian Time). This meeting was held online via Google Meet with the agenda of discussing collaborative teaching plans between the two study programs. This meeting was attended by Mrs. Dr. Apriningsih, S.K.M, M.K.M. (Chair of the Department of Public Health), Mrs. Dr. Chandrayani Simanjorang, S.K.M., M.Epid. (PSKMPS Coordinator) as well as Mr. Arga Buntara, S.K.M., M.P.H and Mrs. Dr. Fajaria Nurcandra, S.K.M., M.Epid. as a PSKMPS lecturer. UiTM was represented by Dr. Siti Norashikin Mohamad Shaifuddin, Dr. Siti Rohana Mohd Yatim, and Dr. Hairul Nazmin Nasruddin.
The meeting was opened by Dr. Fajaria Nurcandra, then continued with a presentation of the cooperation plan from PSKMPS UPN “Veteran” Jakarta by Mr. Arga Buntara, S.K.M., M.P.H. The discussion included the courses that will be collaborated and meeting plan. The meeting was then continued with a response and discussion session from UiTM and also from PSKMPS UPNVJ. Several points agreed upon include:
The Food Hygiene & Safety course was agreed upon as a course to be collaborated;
UiTM will give a lecture on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to PSKMPS UPNVJ students in late November or early December 2024;
PSKMPS UPNVJ will give a lecture on Food Poisoning Outbreak Investigation in December 2024.
Mrs. Dr. Chandrayani Simanjorang as the PSKMPS Coordinator also expressed his appreciation for this collaboration program and added that this program needs to be concretized in the form of an Implementation Agreement (IA) document signed by both parties. Dr. Hairul Nazmin Nasruddin added that UiTM will also draft a Memorandum document of Agreement (MoA) related to this program. It was then agreed that both draft documents would be communicated as soon as possible.
The cooperation and collaboration between PSKMPS UPNVJ and UiTM have been going well since 2022. It is hoped that the cooperation and collaboration between the two parties can continue in the field research (joint-research) and community service. [AB]
