KSM BATAVIA FIKES UPNVJ 2024-2025: BATAVIA CLASS (Broadcast: Student Preparedness for Disasters)

FIKES UPNVJ - KSM Batavia has held a work program from the Pusdiklat division, namely the 2nd Batavia Class meeting on Saturday, August 31, 2024. The Batavia Class was held offline in Room 608, MERCe Building, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, Limo campus, Depok. The 2024 Batavia Class II carries the theme "Broadcast: Student Preparedness for Disasters". The target participants who take part in this Batavia Class II are all volunteers and administrators who are members of KSM BATAVIA, and are open to the public for KEMA UPNVJ. This activity aims to provide knowledge and training to volunteers regarding their roles in disaster preparedness, emergency response, and recovery situations. Not only providing education, but the 2024 Batavia Class activity also holds case study discussions for participants who take part in the activity from start to finish.
This activity begins with participant registration. Then, working on pre-test questions related to the material, singing the Indonesian National Anthem and the National Defense March. The next event is a speech. The speech was given by the Chairperson of the Batavia Class event, Sudarningayuti Lintang Wahyu Azahra, then the Chairperson of KSM Batavia, Jelita Putri Nabila, and the Advisor of KSM Batavia, M. Ikhsan Amar. Furthermore, the main event was the provision of disaster material related to Disaster Management by Apriyuanda Giyant Bayu Pradana from BNPB. After the presentation of the material, a question and answer session was held for participants who wanted to ask further questions related to the material.
Then continued with the symbolic handover of certificates from KSM Batavia to the resource person, namely Apriyuanda Giyant Bayu Pradana. Continued with group discussion activities discussing case studies according to the material. Furthermore, the event was closed by the MC, this activity then ended with filling out the post-test.
With the presence of the 2nd Batavia Class meeting, it is hoped that it can again increase knowledge and skills regarding disasters for participants. In addition, it is also expected to be able to increase the readiness of KSM BATAVIA members and volunteers to carry out their roles when going directly to disaster locations. (MPF)
