FIKES UPNVJ - On Saturday, September 7, 2024, BEM Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta held an Emergency Class Guidance Period Activity with the theme "First Aid: Essential Knowledge for Emergency Situations" on the second day which was attended by 700 new students of the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta.
Emergency Class, which is a continuation of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) of the Faculty of Health Sciences, is a workshop work program that contains material presentations and practical implementations regarding handling traffic cases. The presentation of the material on the second day was carried out by three speakers from lecturers at the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta offline at the Limo Campus of the Faculty of Health Sciences UPN "Veteran" Jakarta.
This activity was carried out with the aim of providing an understanding and training related to first aid so that students can apply this knowledge to reduce the risk of more serious accidents if an accident occurs around them. The series of Emergency Class activities on the second day began with an opening led by the MC, singing the song Indonesia Raya and the National Defense March, followed by a brief presentation of material from the speakers. There were 3 speakers on the second day of Emergency Class. The material on victim evacuation was guided by Desak Nyoman Sithi, SKP, MARS, PhD, the material on cardiopulmonary resuscitation was guided by Agustiyawan, SST.FT, M.Fis, FTR, AIFO, the material on splinting was guided by Heri Wibisono, AMD.FT, S.Pd, MSI, AIFO.
On the second day there were three posts. The first post was in the field of the Al-Fikri mosque, at the first post, material on victim evacuation using a stretcher was taught, guided by Desak Nyoman Sithi, SKP, MARS, PhD. Then, the second post was in the MerCe hallway, at the second post, material on cardiopulmonary resuscitation was taught, guided by Agustiyawan, SST.FT, M.Fis, FTR, AIFO. Then, the third post was the last post which was in the hyperbaric field, at the third post, material on splinting was taught, guided by Heri Wibisono, AMD.FT, S.Pd, MSI, AIFO. It is expected that after the activity, new students will gain new knowledge and can apply the material provided if they are faced with an emergency situation. (RI)
