FIKES UPNVJ - On May 15, 2020 Nutrition Study Program, Faculty of Health Science, UPNVJ in collaboration with Center for nutrition and dietetics UiTM and Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta II, hosted International Webinar On Nutrition and Covid-19. The webinar is moderated by Dian Luthfiana Sufyan, M. Gizi and featured three speakers.
First is Dr. Siti Sabariah Buhari from UiTM Malaysia who explained regarding clinical and public health perspective of nutrition during covid-19. She emphasized the adoption of healthy eating, cooking and life style in order to maintain immunity during pandemic.
Second speaker is Dr. Iskari Ngadiarti who elaborated fasting during pandemic, she conveyed that both are inevitable and fasting gives benefits to our body such as weight loss, reduce total cholesterol, produce endorphins and increase immunity.
The last was host speaker, Taufik Maryusman, M. Gizi, who shared about health worker collaborative action during the pandemic is highly needed. For nutritionist itself, it is better to engage to community to be able to guard any possibility of food shortage.
The webinar was viewed by almost 300 participants via zoom and 400 viewers on youtube, so in total 700 participants were exposed to the materials. Hopefully all the knowledge shared will be fruitful insight for everyone.
