FIKES UPNVJ - In order to increase public awareness regarding the importance of proper wound care, Group 4 MBKM-ABN Batch IV Nursing Study Program, Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta has held a health education activity related to wound care and homecare in Hamlet 4, Buanajaya Village, Tanjungsari District, Bogor Regency.
This health education activity related to wound care and homecare is one of the work programs of Group 4 ABN-MBKM Batch IV with Field Supervisor Lecturer (DPL), namely Ns. Lina Berliana Togatorop, S.Kep., M.Kep. This health and homecare education aims to provide information on how to care for wounds to prevent infection, and prevent more serious complications and at the same time demonstrate how to care for wounds properly and correctly.
Health education activities related to wound care at home held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 starting at 16.00 WIB - 17.45 WIB in Hamlet 4, Buanajaya Village, Tanjungsari District, Bogor Regency. This activity was carried out by all Group 4 MBKM ABN Students Batch IV of the Nursing Study Program, Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta and was also attended by Mr. Rasum as the head of RW, Mr. Amuy as the Head of RT and Mrs. Aisah as the Cadre of Hamlet 4, Buanajaya Village and 46 participants who were residents of Hamlet 4, Buanajaya Village.
This Counseling activity was guided by Helen Marcelina and Rosa Tri Sevia, active students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, batch 2022 as the Master of Ceremony. The activity began with an opening by the MC and continued with a prayer reading. The event continued with the first speech delivered by the Chief Executive, Ita Juita, the second speech by the Head of Group 4 MBKM-ABN IV, Clara Oktalia Cahyani, the third speech delivered by Mr. RT 04 Dusun 4 Buanajaya Village, Mr. Amuy, and the last speech delivered by the Head of RW Dusun 4, Mr. Rasum.
The next series of events was the filling of the pre-test guided by the committee and continued with the presentation of material on the basic concept of wound care, after which there was a demonstration of washing hands with 6 steps and a demonstration of proper wound care. After the education and demonstration were carried out, the activity continued with a question and answer session, then continued with the filling of the post-test and evaluation of the activity process guided by the committee. The last series of events was the handover of certificates, documentation sessions, and closing by the MC. The benefit of this activity is that the community can learn how to carry out proper wound care.
On October 9-12, 2024, home care for wound care was carried out according to the patient's willingness to be treated by providing informed consent by the patient. This homecare activity was carried out by representatives from group 4 members, namely Clara Oktalia Cahyani and Wiena Sylvia Angel under the supervision of the Field Supervisor Lecturer (DPL), namely Ns. Lina Berliana Togatorop, S.Kep., M.Kep. This activity began with the provision of health education and continued with home care wound care.
