FIKES UPNVJ - On Friday 28 June 2024, the Physiotherapy Laboratory carried out a health examination including body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar, cholesterol and uric acid. Health examinations are carried out in order to implement the tri dharma of higher education and utilize laboratory equipment owned by the Physiotherapy Department. Health checks were carried out on 26 personnel from the Faculty of Health Sciences, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, consisting of lecturers (11.5%), staff (53.8%), cleaners (19.2%) and security officers (15.4%). . The results of the body mass index examination showed that personnel had a BMI of 8% underweight, 36% normal, 40% overweight and 16% obese.
Meanwhile, blood pressure, pulse and blood checks were carried out using equipment owned by the physiotherapy laboratory with average blood pressure results of 123.31/74.23 mmHg; blood sugar 116.56 mg/dL, uric acid 8.03 mmol and cholesterol 207.73mg/dL. There are 7.69% of personnel who have high blood sugar, 50% who have high uric acid and 61.54% who have high cholesterol. By carrying out health checks and knowing the results of the examination, it is hoped that personnel whose results are above normal limits will pay more attention to their health by maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
