FIKES UPNVJ - Monday 15 January 2024, community service activities were carried out by lecturers from the Undergraduate Nutrition Study Program (Iin Fatmawati, S.Gz, MPH). The activity took the form of a talk show held at Raudhatul Athfal Al Hidayah, Rawa Denok, Depok City. The participant in this community service is the santri guardian RA Al Hidayah. The theme of this activity is "Healthy Food and Balanced Nutrition for Pre-School Age Children". Food consumption in pre-school children is often a problem experienced by parents and caregivers. Children often like to consume foods that are high in sugar, salt and fat. Apart from that, there are also children who have a habit of choosing food and do not want to consume vegetables and fruit.
The material provided explains balanced nutrition and examples of providing healthy and balanced food to pre-school children. The Balanced Nutrition Message (PGS) is a guideline for feeding children, such as getting used to eating breakfast, getting used to drinking water, washing hands with soap and running water, and getting used to consuming a variety of foods. Apart from that, it is also important to monitor children's weight. This community service activity was attended by 42 RA Al Hidayah santri guardians.
