Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan – Mahasiswa Semester 3 Program Studi D-III Fisioterapi melaksanakan Praktek yang dilaksanakan di Ruang Laboratorium Lantai 4 Gedung A. Kampus II Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta, Kegiatan praktek yang dilakukan adalah setelah penerimaan materi dari dosen lalu di aplikasikan Praktek di ruang Laboratorium, materi mata kuliah ini adalah Manual Terapi dengan Dosen Purnama Widyawati, SST. FT, M.Fis. Terapi manual adalah teknik yang digunakan oleh ahli terapi fisik untuk melenturkan sendi dengan memijatnya langsung menggunakan tangan.
Fisioterapi adalah terapi yang bisa dilakukan untuk mencegah penyakit karena dapat meningkatkan aktivitas fisik Anda. Selain itu, terapi ini juga membantu masalah kesehatan yang menyerang seperti:
- Tulang, sendi, dan jaringan halus – seperti sakit punggung, sakit leher, sakit pundak dan cedera
- Sistem saraf atau otak – seperti permasalahan pada gerakan yang mengakibatkan stroke, multiple sclerosis, atau Parkinson
- Jantung dan sirkulasi – permasalahan yang perlu disembuhkan setelah terkena serangan jantung
- Paru-paru – penyakit paru obstruktif kronik (COPD) dan cystic fibrosis
