Depok, 8 April 2018- Bertajuk Hari Kesehatan Dunia. Belum lama, Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan UPN Veteran Jakarta mengadakan pencegahan penyakit, di RW2 Kelurahan Meruyung, Kecamatan Limo. Giat acara yang digaungkan D3 Keperawatan ini dimulai dengan senam bersama.
Kaprodi D3 Keperawatan, Chandra Tri Wahyudi mengungkapkan, Hari Kesehatan Dunia merupakan ujung tombak, untuk membebaskan dunia dari penyakit-penyakit. Namun, masih banyak penyakit yang umum terjadi dimasyarakat. Seperti, Diabetes mellitus, Hipertensi, Asam urat dan penyakit lainnya.
Menurutnya, dengan diadakanya World Health Day (WHD) yang dilaksanakan mahasiswa D3 Keperawatan, kepada warga Kelurahan Meruyung setidaknya dapat mencegah penyakit umum. “Kami awali dengan senam sehat bersama, pengecekan Gula darah, Asam urat dan kolesterol. Ini mampu mencegah penyakit umum,” terangnya kepada Harian Radar Depok, kemarin.
Menimpali acara tersebut, Sekretaris Kelurahan (Sekel) Meruyung, Ade Hukmawan mengaku, acara ini sangat bagus sekali digagas dalam rangka penyuluhan kesehatan untuk warga. Maka dari itu, sejatinya acara ini lebih ditingkatkan lagi, dan volume untuk melaksanakan acara ini yang tadinya setahun satu kali atau dua kali untuk menuju warga yang sehat.
“Alhamdulillah warga khususnya di RW 03 dan RW 02 Meruyung antusias melaksanakan, dan mengikuti segala rangkaian kegiatan. Mulai dari pagi dari pukul 7 melaksanakan senam pagi bersama dan dilanjutkan pemeriksaan,” tuturnya. (cr2)
