REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a citizen of Indonesia
- Must have graduated or be expected to graduate with an excellent academic record (with 16 years of education completed or expected to be completed) and must receive the recommendation of his/her university president or academic advisor or be otherwise qualified to enroll in the university
- Must have attained GPA 3.5 or higher at the last university attended
- Applicants with the background in nutrition & food science field will have a stronger advantage
- The applicant must be under the age of 35 on April 1, 2023
- The applicant must be able to obtain approval of acceptance as either a postgraduate international research student (hereinafter “Research Student”) or a graduate school student (master’s course) (hereinafter “Master’s Course Student”) from the University and be registered as a Research Student or a Master’s Course Student for April 2024 or October 2024
- The applicant must have adequate Japanese language proficiency that is required in order to research and study in a master’s course, when enrolling as a Master’s Course Student
- The applicant must file an application and attend selection procedures by PT Ajinomoto Indonesia
- The applicant must have excellence in personality in academics and have a strong motivation for learning
- The applicant must not be receiving other scholarships
ELIGIBILITY
Ajinomoto Scholarship program is eligible for applicants who wish to enroll in a master’s course in one of the sciences. Applicants with the background in nutrition & food science field will have a stronger advantage, at specific graduate schools, such as:
- 1. The University of Tokyo
- 2. Kyoto University
- 3. Nagoya University
- 4. Tokyo Institute of Technology
- 5. Ochanomizu University
- 6. Waseda University
- 7. Kagawa Nutrition University
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS
- Research Student at graduate school: ¥150,000/month (for 1 year)
- Master’s Course Student at graduate school: ¥180,000/month (for 2 years)
- Examination, admission, and tuition fees: covered in full
- Transportation to Japan will be provided a one-way flight ticket from Indonesia to Japan
APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
- The Document in hard copy should be submitted until 6 March 2023
- Transcript of scholastic record issued by the university or graduated school attended (or certified true copy transcript from the university, if the university does not issue copies of transcripts)
- Fill in specified form which can be download below, including:
- Application form & study program
- A letter of recommendation from academic advisor
- A letter of statement with assignment
- Photocopied documents proving Japanese proficiency of the applicant (such as results of JLPT, EJU and other tests provided by Japanese training institutions) when required by the University; TOEFL and GRE scores when required by the graduated school which the applicant wishes to enroll
- The documents in hard copy submitted to: AJINOMOTO VISITOR CENTER (UP: Melani/Rinjani), Jl. Harapan Raya, Blok JJ No. 1, Sirnabaya, Teluk Jambe Timur, Karawang, Jawa Barat, 41361
- The document submitted shall not be returned under any circumstances
This program is intended for Indonesian students free of charge. PT Ajinomoto Indonesia has never collected any fees for the Ajinomoto Scholarship 2024 program.
