The meaning of National Defense is the identity of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta which consists of attitudes, behaviors and actions of citizens who are inspired by their love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in ensuring the survival of the nation and state. In its implementation, the national defense identity is manifested in teaching, research and community service activities.
