Capping Day Nursing Study Program Diploma Three and Bachelor of Nursing Study Program in 2024

FIKES UPNVJ - On Wednesday, May 22 2024, students of the Diploma Three and Bachelor of Nursing study programs carried out Capping Day activities which were held offline at the Tanah Airku Auditorium, 5th Floor, UPNVJ. The capping day participants consisted of 122 undergraduate nursing program students and 79 nursing diploma three program students. The invitees consisted of the Chancellor, Deputy Chancellor 1, Deputy Chancellor 2, Deputy Chancellor 3, Head of LP3M, Heads of Department and Head of Study Program, Nursing lecturers, representatives from hospitals. Dr. Suyoto Pusrehab Kemhan, TNI AL Marine Hospital Cilandak, RSAL Mintoharjo, RSUD Depok, DPD PPNI South Jakarta.


Capping day is a clerkship oath and stamping event for nursing students who will carry out clinical practice. This event is required for students to be able to enter the hospital for clinical practice. This activity began with the opening by the MC, singing again Indonesia Raya, Mars Defending the Country, and Mars PPNI. Second, the opening statement of the activity by the Dean of FIKES UPNVJ, namely Desmawati, SKp, M.Kep, Sp. Kep, Mat., PhD, followed by an academic report by the Head of the Nursing Department, Ns. Cut Sarida Pompey, S.Kep., M.N.S.

Next was the process of installing the stamp, pin and nameplate by the Dean of FIKES UPNVJ accompanied by the head of the nursing department. Representatives of the Undergraduate Nursing Study Program were represented by Wahid Hidayat and Elma Monika, representatives of the Diploma Three Nursing Study Program were Vieris Fadel Muhammad and Novi Ananta Hapsari. Then the proclamation of clerkship appointments for Diploma Three and Undergraduate Nursing Study Program students at FIKES UPNVJ was guided by the Dean of FIKES UPNVJ.

The signing of the clerk's appointment report was signed by the student representative, taken by the Dean of FIKES UPNVJ, and witnessed by the head of the nursing department, the head of the undergraduate nursing study program and the head of the third diploma nursing study program. Followed by the screening of the I'am A Nurse nursing video. Then there were remarks, namely remarks from representatives of the FIKES UPNVJ nursing study program students represented by Mubyar Tanza Zulfikar, remarks from the Dean of FIKES UPNVJ, and remarks from the Chancellor of UPNVJ or his representative.


After the speeches, the South Jakarta PPNI DPD delivered material on nursing ethics by the chairman of the South Jakarta PPNI DPD, Ns. Iwan, S.Kep Followed by singing the PPNI hymn, reading prayers, and closing the capping day by the Dean of FIKES UPNVJ. The final session was a group photo and congratulations to the nursing students.


The aim of holding this Capping Day activity is to uphold the code of ethics for nursing. The result of this activity is the formation of nursing students who uphold the professional code of ethics since clinical practice so that when they become nurses they will continue to internalize the professional code of ethics in every time they provide nursing care.
